Seniors :: Kiersten, The Teacher

Kiersten was SO. MUCH. FUN! I did her brother Ryan's photos last year and knew that this year's photos would be just as much fun! Kiersten was so up for anything, I loved it! She wasn't quite sure of a site for the photos, and when I suggested our location she was like yeah, that would be great! I have never used this location before and I was so over-the-top excited, y'all have no clue! (Lot's of exclamation marks tonight).

Kiersten is an amazing older sister to her younger siblings and she her chosen career path stems from that I think. When I asked Kiersten what she wants to do, she said she would like to be a teacher - which is huge! Especially coming from having a mom in education, it definitely reflects well on her mom's love for teaching! Kiersten is very responsible and has a ton of these amazing talents!

She has taken ASL for a few years and is very involved with the ASL team at her high school. She also is very involved in pottery! She had a few pieces that she'd entered and received ribbons for during our session which was a cool touch!

I have no doubt that Kiersten will achieve anything she sets her mind to! Good luck my dear, you're going to be great!

Love her pottery pieces!

All the heart eyes!

Thank you to Katrina for trusting me with both your kiddos so far. And thank you Kiersten for being such an amazing client!!!

Seniors :: Megan, The Artist

First off, I have to say, I have been looking forward to Megan's photos since I did her older brother Gio's photos 2 years ago. Megan is such a fun, carefree, beautiful girl! She is an amazing artist and wants to attend USU and major in art. She was up for anything when we went to do her session and we had the hardest time staying serious about anything. Megan is absolutely stunning both inside and out and has such a propensity for caring about everything and everyone.

Thank you to Megan and Tami for letting me drag you along and being willing to try just about anything that I thought would look great! I know, Megan, that you have so much potential in this life for so many great things!

Good luck Megan, with everything you have planned for your future!

Family Session :: The Darling Family

This session has been in the works for about 2 years now! I first met Becky when I started teaching at Overlake and she is such a great person! The next year, her oldest daughter was graduating from high school and I was lucky to do her senior photos. I had so much fun with Julia and Becky! This last year I was able to do her son Byron's as well! It has been so much fun to see all these kids grow. We had planned to do family photos at some point, but as with everything in life, things kept coming up and we didn't get to them. This year though, some big changes were happening within the family which if we didn't get photos done soon, would make it really hard to get everyone together again!

My clients are always such troopers! I drag them along to all these random places, make them jump rocks, hike trails, get wet, you name it! The Darling's were no different. We had so much fun in this location! I haven't  been there in a while and didn't realize how many people would be there, nor that there would be so many bugs, but we still had a great time (if for an accident or two).

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do! They were a blast to take and this is definitely one good looking family!
One of the very first photos we took - I love when they turn out amazing!
I love the relationship that Chad and Becky have, they work so well together!

Kat is the youngest, she is going to be in 7th grade this coming year!
Byron just graduated high school this year, he plans to go into something in the IT field.
Julia is next. She just moved out to California to continue her schooling.
I had never met Thomas before, he is the oldest!

Always gotta have a kissy photo :)
As well as a bored kids photo haha

Thank you again Darling Family! I was so excited to take these photos and hope you all love them just as much :)

A Wedding Story :: The Hastie's

I have to just preface this entire post with I don't actually shoot weddings! Engagements, sure :) but just so no one gets any crazy ideas haha not that I wouldn't love doing your wedding, but I have so many friends I can recommend to you who are better than I am at weddings - so if you want that kind of info let me know :)

Eileen's wedding is the only exception :) I thought it would be really nice and she had already asked loads of other people to do photos so I told her I would focus on set up photos but not the random ones that people take throughout the wedding itself. She was totally on-board so that helped a lot to relieve the stress I feel whenever I do weddings (I've only ever done one other one and that was enough to realize it wasn't for me). I tried to capture those meaningful moments, but also the ones that you're going to want to put in an album. I had so much fun taking photos, and I am glad I had the opportunity! So without further ado, here are the photos I took :)

Eileen you're absolutely gorgeous!

Probably the only smiley photo I got of Amy!

A true Scottish thistle.

Loved the details!

Love these two!

I actually really love this photo haha

But this is my absolute favorite!

Thank you Eileen for letting me capture some of your special day! I had a blast :)
