A Short List of Things that Keep Me Positive

I'm doing this for myself mainly, but I'm sure I'll still get quite a few views. I think that it's important to bring positivity into your life (I'm not into the whole zen stuff, just something I believe). If you are always negative, your life will always be filled with negativity, but if you try to be positive whenever you can, it leads to a more positive life. Lately my life and my thoughts have not been very positivbe. It's something I'm trying to work on. So without more, here's my list of things that keep me positive:

  • La Frontera's chips and salsa - which I could literally eat all day, every day - even without the salsa, the chips are just good
  • Priscilla Ahn - Love her voice, could (and do) listen to her CDs over and over and over again, probably the easiest way to calm me down
  • Laying around doing nothing on a Sunday afternoon
  • The internet working - considering I'm still borrowing someone's internet.....when it stays connected it's beautiful
  • Talking with my best friends - they always know what to say and do to make things better
  • Having that one person that I always go to that knows just what to say - wish I could have as much of a positive look on life as they do
  • Mantras
  • Knowing all my work is graded - you do not know, unless you're a teacher, just how much of a good thing this feels like
  • Realizing that Spring Break is in less than a week (:

I know some of them are silly, I know that some of them are not for anyone but myself, but that's ok. It's my list. Thank you to those people who love and care about me even on my worst days!

Scatter-brained

I don't personally think I could come up with a better title if I thought of it lol. Honestly this is a lot of how I've felt over the past week and a half, I barely know what I'm supposed to be doing when I'm doing it. But today as I was sitting, I had a thought for this really really good blog post topic!

....

Yeah, it's gone. It was really and truly a great topic. Hopefully I'll remember it. In the meantime I think I'll fill everyone in a little on the things that I've been doing.

So in the past few weeks, things have changed...drastically at my work. I won't be posting any of that here, just that I don't want to a) get in trouble somehow and b) it's a long story. But these changes have all been for the better, at least in my opinion. The most interesting part of it all is that I've now gained 7/8th grade This bumped me from being the smallest class in the school to the largest (my public school friends will laugh); I went from 8 to 25. It's really not a size issue, rather a different management issue. I'm hoping that after we get back from Spring Break things will be better.

I'm hoping that I'm really not getting sick. I've had this deep chest cough that hurts and burns, but no other symptoms of anything. I just don't think I can afford to miss school - no one is going to want my kids.

In non-school news, things are looking up. I've booked a wedding shoot that I'm going to do in June, my first ever. I'm so ridiculously nervous! I don't know if I'll ever do another, but there's always the opportunity to change my mind. I may end up loving it!

This weekend is one filled with excitement that I'm hoping rolls over into next week and the next few months. It'll be interesting to see. Life is definitely an adventure and one that I'm so excited to be on it at the moment (:

In closing, hopefully (that is if I can find the motivation haha) I'm registering for this...once I get paid! I'd love a group *hint hint*

Emma: 6 Months

So I hope you all are a bit more interested now, especially those of you just checking me out now! I've gotten so many more likes on Facebook in the past couple of days and I'd like to keep the ball rolling. Editing on these pictures took a little longer because of internet issues, but I'm so excited to share them with you! This is where you'll get all of the photos, versus Facebook, but that's just to keep my photo count down. If you want to keep up with me here, you can always subscribe to the blog (and if I were tech savy at all I would have a link that showed you how to do so, but as I'm not, I don't).

This family, as I've mentioned before, is absolutely amazing, I remember babysitting on weekends with the older two girls and watching them grow up and it's been a real treat to get to photograph Emma from the time that she was big enough to photograph (I don't say born, as she's been so small and we had to wait). Misty was nice enough to provide almost all the props and had in mind exactly what she wanted (which does help me out a whole ton!), plus all the cute coordinating outfits. It was a ball and I can't wait to do more (: last plug, remember to check out the Facebook page here and make sure to like it and share it with your friends! So without further ado, here are the pictures! I wish I could share them all as there's so many I love, but here are my outstanding favorites!

What I love about this photo is it's probably the best we got with Emma on her stomach...right before she burst into tears!

I Think I've Fallen Off the Face of the Earth and Some Photos

Hey all, I know you've just been dying to know what I've been up to, and needless to say it's been a crazy, crazy month. I'll let it stay there. Oh and I'm looking for a new challenge, something to get me back to posting, so if you know one please leave a comment and let me know about it. Hopefully things will be settling in and life can return to it's semi-normalness. When it comes to photos I feel like I have been slacking lately, but I did have some prospects that fell through and finally one that didn't, in fact I had to reschedule on her!

We're going into the end of the year and if you know anyone who needs senior pics done or spring family photos please let me know! Also, I don't know if I ever mentioned it but I've got a facebook page up now just click here and like it for me (: I'd be very appreciative! Plus I may have some photo session give aways in the works, but you'll only know if you like that page and of course keep up on here!

Anyway I'm still in the beginning stages of editing this last shoot, but they're already coming out soo adorable! This family is like my true family and I couldn't have been happier to do this shoot! I took some pictures of Emma awhile back, but she's now 6 months and getting so big, it was nice to actually have her attention for the shoot. She has got some amazing eyes and a beautiful smile - although for me, it was tough to catch, we're still on a "do I really like you" basis and while her mom could get that gorgeous smile I tended to get the "Uh, what are you doing" look. Either way I'm posting this with the promise of more to come (: enjoy!

This is that look! But she's still too adorable!
