Outdoor Photos and Why I Love Them: The Buckley Family

So this photo shoot is one that I really wanted to talk about because it was a really fun time, but it was so laid back as well. We all just met up at the site and had so much fun climbing on things and getting to do fun things. Poor little Baby J was having a rough day, but the pictures still turned out great :)

Emily is a good friend and she contacted me to set this shoot up. The Buckley family has always done photos in a studio and I really hope they had a good time doing an outdoor shoot because I will tell you, I absolutely love outdoor shoots. They lend to beautiful lighting without any assistance (generally) and you can do so many things that aren't possible with indoor/studio shoots. Not to rag on studio shoots, but they can get pretty bland at times. I am a firm believer that baby shoots are easier indoors (although I have done outdoor), but other shoots are so much fun to do outside!

Just a quick plug and then some photos! It is coming up on Christmas time (yes I know no one wants to think about it but still) and it's a perfect time to get Christmas cards made up for the year! Please contact me if you'd like to set up a shoot :) also, some pricing changes are in effect (mainly more set) so if you have questions please ask, don't just assume they are the same; I hate to have someone get their heart broken because they need to pay more than they thought (I still believe [and may be biased] that I am the best deal around).

Without further ado here we go!

Baby R's 1st Birthday & Family Photos

It seems like it's been years since my last blog! I really feel behind, but it's been one hectic fall. With school starting (in a new school & grade), Dave leaving for Cincinnati, and things happening every weekend it has felt like I have literally no time to do anything.

I am so grateful to all those families I have done photos for lately that have been so ridiculously patient with me and my schedule.

Finally I have these done! I had so much fun going down to St. George, Utah to do these photos. This family is amazing! They have given me so much credit and they are not only returning customers, but good friends. I had a great time working with them and getting to enjoy Baby R's birthday party! While there aren't very many from her actual birthday on here, I can ensure her family that may be reading this that they did turn out great, I just don't want to include people who may not have realized their photos were going on Facebook and my blog in those places.  Baby R was such a trooper throughout the entire day - so most credit goes to her! Kaila had the fantastic bow and necklace for her octopus outfit made through a really special lady. If you'd like to check out her creations click here.

Without further ado, here are those fantastic photos!

And now just some photos of this gorgeous little girl!

Kaila's mom was in town for the party and they had expressed a need for new family photos as well, here is a taste of their's. This family really was sooo easy to work with and be around! I don't think we stopped laughing. If only I could've gotten everyone to smile ;)

Happy Birthday Baby R! Thank you Kaila and Nick for letting me capture this moment for you!
