Kiwi & Steve - Engagements

I'm so excited to present these photos! I think that they are amazing and have really shown the love between these two. Kiwi and Steve are definitely made for each other and you can tell by the way they look at each other. Their adorable son, Hendrix, is a testament to their love and commitment to each other.

These are their engagements, but at the same time, they are bringing their family together, so they are family photos as well. The day that we took these was beautiful, up until that Sunday, the weather had been so cold and cloudy and windy and then this bright, blue, clear Sunday afternoon came along and was perfect for taking pictures.

I'm excited to see how the rest of this wedding turns out because I believe that these two are meant for each other :)

Beautiful couple :)

Such a cute family!

Update & Sneak Peak at Kiwi & Steve's Engagements!

Hey all! So last year I think I may have started my blog before my sister's birthday and wished her a happy birthday on here (I could totally be lying and started it way after her birthday) either way I feel the need to say Happy Birthday Katie! at least once (it was yesterday). She's 19, and that makes me feel super old lol but she's really growing into her own and has become an amazing young woman.

For her birthday we went bowling out to the depot and needless to say I tend to talk more game than I actually have :/ I ended up losing. Every game. And we played 3! But I did break 100 the 2nd game in :) this weekend has been a blast, I feel like I've done something every day and normally that makes me miss my weekend and feel like I haven't gotten time to rest, this has been quite the opposite, I'm guessing the company may be to blame for that ;)

So today marks the first of a huge adventure for me, I've taken on a wedding! This includes engagements, announcements, bridals, wedding ceremony, party photos, and reception! It's huge for me and I'm not gonna lie, I'm still a bit nervous, but after meeting with Kiwi and Steve I know that we're going to get along fantastically!

These two are adorable together and really show the chemistry that they have! They were not shy to anything I asked of them and I think they were troopers with the cold wind! I think that you can see that they're in love just by the way Kiwi's smile always came through completely genuinely whenever she was around Steve or their baby Hendrix. I'm excited to see what comes next in this crazy adventure of mine! But I'll leave you with a sneak peak of what's to come :)

There's that phenomenal smile!

Color Festival & Spring Break

For probably a good 4 years now, around this time (and in the fall) I would see pictures pop up of my friends covered head-to-toe in color and I wondered what on earth it was that they were doing. Well I found out last fall that it is a color festival that happens twice a year (someone could correct me if I am wrong). It's an Indian tradition and takes place at the Hindu Temple in Spanish Fork. This year my friend Emily and I decided we were going come hell or high water as we'd tried to go in the fall but got rained out.

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed at the lack of things to do (but this may have been because we were there on Sunday) but overall I had a blast! We met up with some friends for a bit and then found a really good spot on the second level of the temple to listen to music and subsequently watch the color toss at 2.

Some things we decided for next year:
  • Bandannas possibly (I had waaay too much color thrown in my mouth)
  • Tank tops instead of t-shirts
  • Put covers on the car seats before the festival (to avoid getting color everywhere after)
  • Wear sunscreen (didn't think I'd burn through the color)
  • Not put blond streaks in my hair a couple weeks before - my streaks are now pink instead of blond
Here are a few pictures from the festival!
Before the festival - nice a white!

This is as cool a picture as it is annoying, Some person just threw color at us right as the lady took the picture - think I spit out tons of yellow :/

Everyone was putting hand prints on the temple. Emily's is on the right, mine the left, except that my first attempt failed.

Right before a color throw.

Pretty colors!

Felt like I was rainbow colored - still can't get it out of my hair and I think I might have some pink still on my nose.
I've also been working on photos for the baby shoot I did a couple weeks ago - I finally got them finished and added in some collages that I kinda love! I'll put one up for you :)

Spring break is really just kinda starting and I'm so ridiculously bored already. I've wanted to go outside and start working on a tan (as superficial as that sounds) but of course for the past 2 days it's been doing nothing but raining and rather than be the 68-70 degree weather it was over the weekend it's dropped back into the 50s. I'm hoping to at least get out and do SOMETHING during the break - it's yet to be seen.

Any ideas?

Here's a collage (suppose it's only the one picture but I love the little details) I put together :) hope you like it.
