Growing Up: A Little Girl's First Communion

I'm so excited to let you all in on all the work I've been doing lately! It seems like this summer has really boomed for me when it comes to photography and there's been so much to post and edit that I feel I've been falling behind. I did this shoot about 2 weeks ago and it was such an easy simple photo shoot that it reminded me how much I love photography.

Growing up Catholic, I know just how important a First Communion is to a child. Especially to little girls. It's a symbol that you have more responsibility, that you're accepting more of your own beliefs, and moves you closer to Confirmation. It's the first time (for most little girls) that you get to wear a really, super fancy dress and get all dolled up.

Mia is a beautiful little girl, and her naturally sparkling personality just shown through on this photo shoot - it probably goes without saying that this was probably the easiest shoot I've ever done, no offense to others! She was always wanting to try something, she'd be like can we do this? Or how about this? I loved that she took it into her hands too! I hope that you can see it in her photos and enjoy them!

Before I post them I'd like to let you know that I have recently done another shoot for Baby Emma (9 months) and will be doing another baby shoot tomorrow for a 3 month old. So please stay tuned for more photos and be sure to like my page by clicking here.

I love this bible! I think it's adorable and Diana (Mia's mom) showed me how awesome it is on the inside too!

This was a Mia suggested photo, and it turned out darling!
