Her husband Matt did a lot of things with my mom out at the Craft Shop and so our relationship never really ended. I remember receiving embroidered towels when I went to college and graduation cards in the mail. Sweet things!
When Debbie contacted me about doing family photos I was super excited! I had been in the midst of doing senior session after senior session and doing a family session was going to be a good shake up and something I knew! The only problem was timing. And Utah seemed to be going crazy in the month of May. It rained. A lot. Like nonstop rain. Debbie's daughter Aumanae was going off on her mission very shortly so we had a very small window of opportunity to get photos and they had to be good or we wouldn't have time to go back and get more. We also had to be aware of being able to move Matt around.
Luckily I was able to find a really beautiful space that would work for all of it!
Aumanae was such a sweet girl! I'd never really met the Hitesman kids and they were both so polite and you could really see a connection between them. They were the best brother and sister pair I have ever met! Aumanae had been called to serve a mission in Russia (I am not even attempting to replicate the city name) and we were taking some missionary photos for her. This was a first for me! I've never done them and really didn't know what was the norm for them!
Aaron has recently returned from his mission and was looking at going to school down at Southern Utah University. We had such a fun time talking about what we love about Cedar City. He was quite shy at first, but I think eventually realized I wasn't giving up without getting a photo of him!
I am a huge fan of my clients have the final say in any editing/posting that I do, and therefore I am going to post some awesome photos, while still holding to requests from the family. I had a blast working with this family and hope to work with them in the future! I loved how these photos turned out and hope you all do too! :)
